Chaos is my main character; I originally developed him from a customized playable figure in the game, Jazz Jackrabbit 2. At first, I did not even think to make him a character, but I befriended a comic-style artist called Cibex that drew him for me.
As time passed, I added more and more personal traits to “Moonblaze”, as he was called back then, separating him more and more from the original character, Jazz Jackrabbit. I wanted him to be related to the universe, but as a more dark and mysterious character.
Moonblaze became an officially known character when I released a custom level pack for the game, involving a story line where demons invaded the hero’s home and you had to search out a mysterious character living in the woods with a large knowledge of the demons.
I worked more on the demon concept and instead of just a wolfen father, becoming part demon. His mother would be more of a counter-part, being a holy priest. Fate would guide these two souls together and thus fusing light and darkness, creating Chaos.
By then I realized it was time to let go of the Jazz Jackrabbit universe and create Chaos’ own universe. His world would be more medieval and not revolve around guns but religion and magic.
Chaos shouldn’t be a regular hero, but more of an anti-hero type. He should always be in a personal conflict with two personalities to show his struggle with being part demon and part hero. After watching Inuyasha, it became clear to me that this should not be a conflict of power (too cliché) – but of emotion, thus a split personality.
The idea in making an incredible powerful character would also mean limiting the powers in ways that would make it dangerous for him to go all out, requiring a strong control of emotions. It’s because of that Chaos trends to hide his face in shadow through a hood, to shadow his emotions and prevent them from overwhelming his self-control.
There will be times where Chaos finds himself in an emotional conflict, caused by loss of friends or an influence of dark magic, and become the villain as well as an incredible destructive force. This would give his friends a certain awareness of his powers and make the demon fire more of a threat than just plain attack power.
One of the most abiding concepts is the origin of his powers, they’re not his own. The more he uses his powers, the more the symbols of the origin become visible on his body, glowing runes. To hide this truth he wears bracers and bandages to conceal the marks and hide the fact that he is a walking time bomb.
In this time span, Chaos is particularly invulnerable without knowing it himself. A much greater evil seeks to destroy the world and uses him as a pan in its master plan. It’s from that the main theme of Chaos’ legacy will be “Evil Within”.

Very cool!
My own character [Anthro version] derives from my human character which originally originated in Ultima Online then World of Warcraft before I gave him his own storyline.
It's cool I'm not the only one that took a character concept that was originally a character created in a game hehe.
