Critique is, as always, welcome.
I'm a little bit undecided about the perspective on this one. I feel like it plays nicely with the sense of scale, but it also fights against the character's posture so it looks like he's sitting straight up instead of slouching, which basically kills the pose and the mood. I can't tell if it's just because I've been looking at it too long, though. Maybe with fresh eyes it'll read as a proper slouch.

heh, yeah, I tried a couple different poses and ended up liking this one better. I was also playing around with one where he's sprawled out sideways with his back against a post, and I'm half tempted to finish that one up for comparison, if I get time. I think it looked a little too relaxed, though.
I played around with the original pose, and realized that it was sort of dumb/impossible, which is why I had so much trouble with it. In order to prop your elbow up with your knee on an edge like that, while still being able to hang your other knee over the edge, your raised knee has to be *super* bent, and you have to lean back quite a bit. The end result is very awkward and uncomfortable. I really should start doing more of this basic testing before I begin drawing. :P
I did end up lowering the pecs, but then I realized I wanted to add a belt and it looked sort of silly without a shirt.

I noticed you've said the background is based off a minecraft world of yours, do you play on any servers often? Also, what other games do you play? Also, someone needs to make a furry mod for MC. The FTB launcher has a brony one that I avoid like the plague and no one seems to have made a furry one.
Back to the art, I can see the creeper face on the toolbox.
What happened to the fishing rod? What kind of issues did you have with it? Also, I'm certainly no master on perspective but the buildings seem to be tilting inwards and it seems a bit off.

I actually really liked the fishing rod, and I played with having it propped over the rope, but it felt kind of tacky just sitting there. I might find a way to sneak it in.
The perspective is definitely weird. I actually used a few screenshots from the world as reference (http://i.imgur.com/33nshN7.jpg), but I should have fiddled with my FOV first because it doesn't look nearly as natural as an art piece as it does inside the game. This is *especially* true because the focus of the piece is near the edge of the scene, where it's distorted the most. If the focus was on the center, like it is in game, the eye might be able to forgive the distortion, but it's really hard to force focus to an area that's not supposed to be in focus. Lesson learned!
I tend to play Minecraft on and off for a couple months at a time, and I'm currently off, but I'll probably jump back in sometime soon. I usually play on small servers with friends / coworkers, but I've been meaning to try out a public server and see if it's any fun! Minecraft is the game I keep coming back to; it's just timeless and excellent.
Other games I've been playing lately include BF4, SC2, Garden Warfare, and Jamestown. I really want to play through the Witcher series soon, it looks fantastic.

http://www.kodevelopment.nl/minecra.....eplayermodels/ this is a mod to make yourself a furry of your design, but it does have defaults.
