This is a character I've used in the Warhammer 40,000 RPG Rogue Trader. If you want to get the books, go to a games store or go hit up Fantasy Flight Games, and order the books directly.
This is my Arch-Militant Dariel Zaddion (I FINALLY picked a more permanent name for him recently), who happens to be badly mutated, part Daemon, and wields his plasma cannon like it's a toy. And yes, he is as big as a Space Marine.
I've uploaded his Character sheet information in a separate RTF File, broken down a bit so it's somewhat intelligible, and so everyone can see what he looks like on paper when I use (see kill every living thing who attacks) him.
You can see the character sheet here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14271931/

He's out in the fringes of Society, being in the lawless Kronous Expanse. If you look at the Rogue Trader books, the port of Footfall has a large mutant population that is for the most part, ignored, due to it being controlled by Rogue Traders. Rogue Traders are odious in the first place, and the social norms of the Imperium is considered pointless out in the wilds unless the person is extremely puritan in the first place. That and our group's Rogue Trader wants their penitent mutant, even though the Warp has kicked his ass.
I get ya, but think about his station though. Rogue Traders are among a high priority among the Imperium, the Inquisition most likely keeps tabs on all of them in some form knowing how paranoid the organization is. Plus how a average human views a mutant, is that they suffer corruption of the soul made manifest aka chaos taint. I realize the setting it is placed in the Kronous Expanse gives you some leeway, its just this guy to me would not be rogue trader but still great concept nevertheless :)
He's the arch-militant, an "I break shit" class more akin to a Storm Trooper in function. The Rogue Trader him/herself is a normal human, which is carefully laid out during character engineering. But as for him, He's nothing more than the damage dealing train wreck on legs. Hence why the use of factors, and other mucky-mucks that the Rogue Trader would use to keep his dirty little deathtrap hidden away from the more puritanical parts of the Inquisition. Unless the Rogue Trader was a former Inquisitor of a Radical bent with plenty of allies...
Also, in the rulebooks, When you do character creation, The Rogue Trader's selection on the bottom of the creation chart prohibits it, especially with just how paranoid the Ordo Hereticus is, and the Orders Famulous of the Adeptus Soroitas. It's a ton of fun though, as I have GM'ed this and seeing what the players come up with is a ton of fun.
