I dyed my hair blue once, several years ago. looked really cool, and yes, it did come off (as u see in my pics). I need to go buy some more now...

Thats actually a reference to the ancient Celts using woad and lime to dye their skin blue, and whiten their hair.
The lime also makes the hair stiff, and they typically pulled it back into spikes.

When doing this, they also fought naked.
And the Celts had female warriors as well as male.
