Dark colored clothing is not really a sign of the Sith, the Old Jedi Order offered a black or dark brown tunic made of synthetical leather. The New Jedi Order founded by Luke Skywalker had also dark tunics in its inventory. Luke Skywalker was wearing a black Tunic most of the time.
