Slowly starting to digitize the species from my notebooks and scrap papers. xD Been working on these for a really long time so I hope everyone likes them !

Layfern's are a docile species, able to live in varied conditions from marshland to cities. They are decorated with gem's,

usually on their forehead but sometimes on their chest, and one larger on their tail. Some Leyfern's mutate in the womb

and are born with both a gem on their forehead and their chest, though this is rare.

Leyfern's require little food, though they do eat for taste occasionally. They are mostly omnivorous, similar to humans in

that they don't usually like raw meat. (Since they eat for the experience, not for nutrients or energy.

They get their energy feeding off of sleeping creatures nightmares. These can be any creatures, their highly sensitive

gems can almost "smell" a nightmare from the area. They absorb the nightmare into their gem, leaving their prey to sleep

peacefully.

Their gems are also able to omit a strong light at will, which means some Leyfern are captured to be used for working
in dark areas such as mines, chimneys, nightwork, etc. They are also hunted for their luxurious fur and gems which are

used for jewellery.

Leyfern's reproduction is very much like humans, requiring intercourse between two of the opposite sex.
