Very cool! I have no clue how this stuff is made, so seeing an awesome mask like this is like magic to me. The work is so clean too. *.*

But why aren't you taking commissions for these anymore? Are you done making them, or is it a temporary closure? :o

I guess I am finding them a bit too stressful to do. Fully leather scaled masks take so much more time and care than furred ones. And that combined with trying to achieve someone elses ideal image/specifications of what they want is maybe a bit too much for me.
I think I just need to stick to smaller projects for commissions, at least until I feel a bit more confident about my costume work. Bigger costume projects always end up breaking me with anxiety that what I'm doing might not be good enough in some way or another. So I'll keep making them, just not as commissions for a while.. not too sure how long. Finishing up the last couple of commissions of this sort and then that'll be it for a while.

Dude? If this is the sort of work you do, EVEN under stress? Damn.. you have NO worries about doing stuff 'good enough' cause as far as i see? FUCKING AWESOME quality of work! I don't know if you've heard it before.. but even if you did.. here it is again! Your mask work.. frigging awesome! Honestly tho.. I think you should do more of these in the future.. but just limit it to one that /you/ yourself choose to do... that way it'll be more of a special 'treat' for the person lucky enough to get one of your high quality masks!

Very understandable! You gotta do what makes you comfortable. It's much better to quit while you're ahead than keep taking a certain type of commission and then never finish them because they stress you out too much.

Awwwwe I'm sorry. I didn't want to get stressed up. It really is awesome though and I love it a lots~ Plus you're one of the few who are actually doing full leather/scales suit and not just furry ones.

How heavy was it with the movable jaw anyway?

This one is still pretty light compared to others I've made, since it's got no horns and has fur in place of where the big plated scales usually are.
And I mean scaly leather masks :o
