Update: "Langit 2014" is now ready! =) You can listen/purchase the entire track here: https://marwangreencritter.bandcamp.....ck/langit-2014
I'm posting this just to tease you guys, to give you an idea of how the remix sounds like. =P Listen to the original here for comparison: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14173360/
"Langit 2014" is almost ready. It's about 80-90% done. The break section, the release that follows and the outro in the end are all there and ready. I'm almost done with the intro section, too; I just need to make it connect to the break section because, at the moment, it doesn't transition properly to the break section yet. I also haven't added the epic sound effects either; those are usually the last things I add after I'm done with everything. With any luck, I think I can finish this track within this month and have it available at Bandcamp. =3
I just hope that I didn't overdo the backing pads. x_o;;

I wanted to give the feeling of flying and floating away with this track. The word "langit" means "sky" in Malay, and I tried to picture flying away through the sky as I did this track. (It turns out that "langit" also means "sky" in Tagalog, too, as my Filipino friend
mnxenx001 pointed out. XD) I figured that a less prominent bassline reinforces the flying effect... o_o;;
Though, thanks for the comment. =)

Thanks! ^_^ Well, I've certainly placed a lot of hard work into this track. It's a reinterpration/remix of my earlier ModPlug Tracker track back in 2005, and realizing how epic the melody was, I decided to update it to today's trance music standards.
I admit, one of the reasons why I became a trance musician myself is partly because I was dissatisfied by how amateurish many trance music tracks posted in FA ended-up becoming. I guess I'm just being a little picky. @_@ There are very few professional-sounding ones uploaded in FA; for example, stuff posted by
Hanni_the_Liger.
Trance music itself has become so complex, it's difficult to keep-up with the current standards. That, and trends change. For example, trance music with two climax sections used to be a lot more common than today -- my track, "Mindbender", is one such example. Now, it's just one very long climax section, and then immediately to the outro.

Oh I know exactly what you're talking about. I am quite an avid trance enthusiast but sadly I can't reproduce my desires onto a song, as in, I know what I would love to hear and feel in a trance song, but I find myself unable to do it with my current knowledge of both the software, and music itself.
I am certainly not dumb when it comes to music, I am able to listen to a song and feel it instead of just listening to it. I am able to discern everything that composes a certain tune to sound epic. And every little detail that makes a certain build up and consequently its climax to sound epic.
Having said that, I think this track is made out of sheer quality. I was able to feel myself floating I could imagine and picture vividly several things but they all seemed to be flying or just suspended in mid air. Only professional DJs such as Armin Van Buuren had been able to have such an effect on me but you managed to bring me to those heights as well, so congrats. I am comparing this song to several famous trance tracks :)
I am really hoping to listen to more of your work. Like I said before, I'm dumb for not paying more attention to you, but I will from now on!

Thanks again. =) I really want to push my music-producing abilities up to near-professional level. And I'm glad that I've successfully done so. I admit, it gives a special feeling within me whenever I finish producing a professional-quality track. Trance is not exactly an easy music genre to produce with. I write trance music because it's one of my biggest passion; I found out about trance when I was around 14 years old, and since then, I've sworn to start producing trance myself. Which led me to become the trance musician I am today.
