I was shaving some fur today when it occurred to me others might find this useful- a quick video guide on how to neaten up choppy shaved fur.

ah you might want to change the title to reflect that youre referring to multi colored / tipped fur and evening out the fade between shaved layers. your title sounds like it was referring to evening out fur when it has a bumpy look after shaving.

good tutorial though ive never worked with tipped fur so ill keep this in mind when i do! :)

Same thing though! A divot in the fur is a divot, regardless of fur color. Just looks extra derpy when the fur has an undercoat like this.

This technique works well on long fur, i dont see how it could be done on shaved fur thats short and has bumps. I had to use the technique hair stylists use on hair where you brush the short fur backwards with your hand or slicker brush and then use thinning shears to remove any bumps on the fur, holding the shears parallel with the fur while snipping.

Whatever works for you- this is the same technique I use for short fur with divots.
