I don't think loosing an eye is as bad thing in your world as IRL you can get a new one either a mechanical one (Garret from "Thief" Style) or all organic/demonic one (Rayne from "Bloodrayne" style) both have advantages and disadvantages. Depth perception is an important thing for a warrior
