Reffernces: drawn form the legends of chinese fox women, drawn in the style of the chinese goddesses.
Notes: the progenitors to the legends of the kitsune of japan and the descendant of the legends from India. Fox women and demons followed buddhism across the east. In china the fox women we regarded as evil clever women who triked men out of everything and loved to make them fall on thier faces. they were not major shape changers as the kitsune are and they were never seeen as a good thing as Kitsune occasionally are, (this is mostly due to Foxes being a major boon to mankind in japan for weeding out the destructive rodents from the rice feilds and storehouses (much like the cats, while in china they preyed on a lot of the smaller livestock that the farmers raises like small pigs and chickens) they were sometimes seen as tragic figures of bitter women betrayed and become demons after death to take revenge on her husbands family or such. But much as is the message of buddha and buddhism all can be redeemed and brought forward on the path to enlightenment and sometimes these fox women forgo thier destructive pathes and become "goddesses" of mercy and protectors of women and children and wayward travellers though they generally revert to being human at that point and spend a LONG LONG time making up for thier sins. this iis one such fox woman as she comes into her redemption
