This was VERY USEFUL sketching for one of five pieces of art I prepared for Anthrocon 2014. They were very humble and humbling works to make, and very small. Sketching first here helped so greatly.
It's okay to make sketches and art and then throw them away immediately. It's okay to stop halfway and throw away. It's okay to make unappealing things, because you know you will make better ones afterward.

There are barracudas on FA already, not as many as other species, but there are. Barracudas naturally look like they're from the 'hood, it's funny; and they will #*@! you up in packs, but alone you can scare them pretty easily. cx Barracudas are NATURALLY badflank lookin' hah.
Oooh I like this, incredibly cool and difficult idea but I think you've done great! That bottom right one especially... from seeing these guys while snorkelling, that is TOTALLY what their faces look like and how I'd expect one to glare at everything as an anthro. This is awesome hon. ^^
thaaaaank you! I thought barracudas should be packed with muscle because, if you've observed one, they look like they're inflated with meat. They really look like they're about to burst, packed skintight with so much muscle. AND I'VE SEEN THEM. face to face. Hah you have too! I want to get better at drawing them, if I could ask you to please critique lots so I can improve. :>
Yeahyeah! Totally makes sense. They aren't like... fat with muscle, but you can just tell that everything they DO have in that torpedo shape is nuffin BUT muscle. And yeah, I've stared 'em down pretty close whilst snorkelling myself, they do certainly have presence to them. Presence you captured very well here!
