Depending on what your using to rotate the image, it may be difficult. I've found that Apple's "Preview" app will rotate pictures, but once uploaded to the web, they return to their sideways position...
If your running Windows, you might try Irfanview. http://www.irfanview.com/
Yeah, its a strange name for an image program, but it works quite nicely.
