After years of drawing this stuff, I finally tried to craft something a bit more complex than a plug tail. There are leatherworkers today who create Ladymuzzles following my sketch from 2003 ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/2745600/ ), but these masks are, though beautiful, very, very expensive.
I wanted to create a dalmatian mask for Pixie, with the features of the Ladymuzzle; adjustable, customized, and affordable...
Here's my take on the muzzle as drawn in this picture: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/12299214/
Pixie was delighted!

You're a good observer, the ringgag is functional, but isn't exactly aligned with the muzzle; the lower jaw is missing, too...
This was originally just planned as a proof-of-concept of a DIY-version of the Ladymuzze, done by someone who doesn't have a clue of leatherworking...

Materials (sewn leather strips, some cotton-fabric, and some leftover-cow-hide) and tools (a hole puncher, a carpet knife, some screw-on rivets, some buckles) were not that expensive, maybe 30 Euros. But it took me a very, very long time to get the cutting-pattern right and to sew the ears.
Fury-Fantasy here in Germany are doing these masks; one mask is about 400-500 Euros (about 600 US$) http://www.fury-fantasy.com/Fury-Fa.....#ankerhamilton
I'd rather try to create a DIY, when I find time, I guess...

I've been watching your art for years! Way before FA even existed and always loved how it was grounded in reality as you had clearly thought about how the parts of the gear you'd drawn could actually be made. I was super impressed when you then posted your tail tutorial (which I tried!) and am really impressed at this also! Any chance we might get to see it being modeled one day?
