The final stage, the climax of the game starts off bittersweet but slowly tension builds, growing to chaos. This is the second stage in the final boss. I figured I would go a different style then the previous version, but keep it in the same key so they can transition easily from 1 to 2.

Really cool effect in the opener there. It gave it a really open, echoey chapel sort of feel. Very good for setting the mood early on and building from there. It certainly set it up well for the entrance of the horns there. Nice use of organ in the spots where it's featured. Too many people let that fall into the background when it really deserves to be center stage. Very nice rhythm over all.
So, I didn't listen to your stuff in a while, don't even know why. So let's put on our analytical glasses and pretend that we understand this music.
I like choirs, even if its just some sampled 'aaaaah-ooooh', gives everything a sense of grandeur. But what sold me on this song was the harp. Best instrument. This sets an incredible mood, and a good part of that comes from the harp. I just enjoy the melody and simplicity of it, but when the strings and percussion kick in, the sudden grandness doesn't feel out of place.
It's a good theme for a final boss appearance, and the melancholic bits make it stand out. It doesn't really sound like a heroic battle, nor a villain going one-winged angel. It sounds more like a last stand, or a fight against an enemy that you wouldn't want to go against. Desperate, sad, angry. I was surprised that you ended it with the harp, actually thought there'd come one last loud bout with a full orchestra.
I enjoyed this more because it defied that expectation. Good job.

Hey thanks for checking out some of my new stuff and I'm glad you like it. The mood for this battle is suppose to capture the protagonist's sense of hoplessness. I picture as a two part battle. The is the second and "final" battle. If you listen to this one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14050155/
It's the first stage. The mood in that one is very different as is the music. That one actually DOES have a last little comback with the orchestra playing out Max's theme. I also call it my "Kingdom Hearts " imagined music just because I thought it fits Yoko Shimomura's style of battle music.
