It's a quiet evening, quiet but unusually tense, you're not sure why but you almost feel like you've walked into a crime scene by the oppressive tension in the air. Still, you see a couple people eating, so you know it must be alright and approach the bar. You smile when you see the innocent-looking girl working the bar, but as you approach your smile fades, stepping up to the bar you can tell something's wrong, the girl looks shaken and ten sheets to the wind as it is, trembling all over and tenses slightly when you touch her arm. She looks at you silently for a moment, fear in her eyes before turning her head away and pushes a piece of the paper across the bar to you with only four words and a short signature.
"It's time to talk.
Mr. E"
Fear grips you as one of the other staff takes hold of your arm, drawing you away from the bar and away from the innocent-looking girl, pouring out another glass of bourbon for herself and downing half of it in one go, just as you're led around the corner. Stopped at a solid wall, the Twilight employee starts leading you up an invisible staircase, so perfectly crafted and designed you can't see it in the wall at all, even as you look down at the steps beneath your feet it looks like solid wood. In the long hallway above, you're led to Door No. 6, a plain, unassuming black door. The employee nods towards the door and with shaking hands, you enter, greeted by darkness that seems somehow darker than black, save for a few spots of light from torches on the walls and a three-prong candelabra at the end of the room, next to which is sat him, the shadow king, Mr. E himself and his butler Etu'un but you soon forget about him. It's not that you want to forget, just... something there, something your brain just doesn't want to register, like your eyes just won't focus on it, on... on... on what, exactly?
Your attention falls onto the man in the center of the room, this... It couldn't possibly be the one everyone's so afraid of... could it? He's of average height, but slim and with a very long tail, but other than that... Was there something else in the room? No, no it's just him, sitting there with that grin, the more you look the more worried you get. There's something about it, about the way it seems to creep towards insanity, growing crazier the wider his grin spreads, and his eyes, the, the look in them.. A new fear grips you as you see intelligence, warped and twisted, clearly on the brink of insanity if not already completely mad, and yet when he speaks it seems just as calm and rational as a chat with a friend.
"It's about time we got to meet face-to-face, my friend, I have so been wondering who it was that was disrupting my work..."

Despite how it appears, Mr. E isn't a bad person, but just as certain heroes use darkness and fear to their advantage, so does he, just to a somewhat greater degree. Very few people have ever met Mr. E face to face, and fewer still know the secret of who - or what - he really is~
