Loong time ago, I saw it in a book on "kids today" called "Listen To Us". There were interviews with typical kids about "life today" (I think the book was from the late 70s).
This one stuck in my head. I think the kid who said it was 11. It stuck in my head ever since. I had the idea of Ian thinking like that very early on.
