Created with a ritual similar to that which empowers the monk's robe the fabric creates a false soul in the husk it's draped over, giving it will, and purpose, which allows them to wield divine and arcane magics. But chained to the monk's own will.
Vates are the healers, spellcasters, and missionaries of The Golden Tower. Often having summoned creatures or Golden Brutes with them for protection. In combat they prefer to fall back behind their minions and lob soul spells and black lightning.
