So...I decided rather than quite build a fursuit head or a piece of leather fetish gear, I was going to build something in between. It doesn't look like much yet but when I'm done its going to have a Hanniboar Lectre kind of look...a muzzled boar mental patient kinda deal.
I haven't added the lower jaw or painted and secured the tusks or replica nose. Now have I painted those parts. Then I have to build the rest of the head, cheeks and then the leather muzzle straps and such.

That tongue looks fantastic. Not sure why I've fixated on the tongue, but it looks very realistic. Although perhaps you could add a glossy coat to the tongue, since if the mouth's half open like that without much wiggle room, there's probably going to be some serious slobber.
I plan on adding gloss to it. And probably once the the mask is done, I might experiment with glycerin drool for when I'm wearing it at a con event or some such.
The tongue is rubber and cast from an boar's tongue originally. The nose, teeth, tusks and tongue are all from taxidermy supply.
