Since I had the stems sitting there and I had an idea for a remix I decided to go with it and this is the product. This did not take long to make at all. Maybe at most like 8 hours or so and I am super happy with the product, especially since I went into the remix not knowing how to give the original masterpiece my own flare. I think I did well compared to Renard's original
Any criticisms/tips/anything would be appreciated. I would love to know how to improve myself for anyone who listens
Thank you

I've not listened to the original but this is quite enjoyable. I'm not even much of a drum n bass person either lol.
Since you asked for criticism and tips and I always ask for the same, I take issue to the crash cymbal that is used as a sort of break, it is heard most predominantly at 0:42 and 0:53. The crash mixing at those points makes the cymbal veryy loud compared to the softer synths playing. The crash's tail is so short and the sample is extremely inorganic. The tail being so short doesn't create much of an atmospheric feel and it feels like it was hurriedly dropped in there and left unattended for the rest of the creation of the track, though, its short tail is very much a stylistic choice and is your "own flare" as you put it heheh.
I wish there were a little bit more sound design in the synths, but again, stylistic choice.
The brass sample reminds me of what I'd here in those store bought, hyper mass produced keyboards. Very inorganic and almost entirely because of this it sticks out to me. The articulation is fine, stylistic choice, though, it would be amazing to hear it with perhaps some real samples.
The side chained white noise that starts at 1:58 or so could transition the track much smoother if it were faded in, but again, stylistic choice.
Mastering wise, I don't know if it is my audio driver (because I've experienced this problem while listening to my own tracks), but I feel there is some serious compression affecting it. Not just sidechaining, but overall heavy compression. The sidechaining is triggered by the kick, though, the kick isn't mixed too loudly in the track and doesn't have much of a punch or kick to it. Speaking of mixing, the instruments are mixed fairly well, I didn't notice anything outstanding, except for the crash sample used as a break that I mentioned above already.

My first fursona was an arcanine too so high five
I had a huge issue with the cymbals after putting this song up and immediately went to fix it by putting in different ones.
I do not know what you mean by brass sample to be honest since there isn't a single brass sound used. I would love if you specified where you heard it.
And some of the synths used here are stems from the original song that I used effects on and/or chopped up and then sampled after so if the synths sound kind of bland, and if those are the organ arpeggio'd the soft blip sounds and a transitional pad. Another issues is that my VST selection is kinda limited to around 2-3 usable VST's which I think I have mastered synthesizing in them and because these are cheaper ones the sounds are limited. I tried my best with what I had and I do need more.
And I dont know about you but I feel the quality of some songs downgrade when put onto this site and when I was listening to it in the track and as a wav file it seemed immaculate. I dont know where this compression is arising but there are times when I too hear it.
Thanks a lot for the criticism

Renard is really the biggest I've ever heard of. If you ask a furry to name a furry musician they will more than likely say Renard first, then followed by other people like FoxAmoore.
As for your original response to my comment, I was referring to the brass sounding part starting precisely at 2:30. It sounds like a distorted sine-triangle mix but instantly reminds me of some synthetic trumpet. As for synth vst's, I don't know which DAW you use, but big name ones (namely Fruity Loops) come stock loaded with like 10 different synths. Aside from those, I also use Freehand (just google it, freehand synth vst or something like that, you'll find it), it is a completely free fm synthesis capable synth if I remember correctly. If not freeware, you can always *ahem* obtain the more popular synths by *Cough*pirating*COUGH*COUGH*.
It really is probably my audio driver automatically compressing audio. The file bitrate downgrade to meet the 10mb upload size can also make a massive difference in quality, though, most people don't have the equipment to be able to tell the difference, and moreover, oftentimes lack the care, ear, or incentive to distinguish anyways.

Oh that. That's my scrape and that is honestly one of my favorite sounds so sorry if you didn't like it
My DAW is fl studio but the issue is that I only have Sytrus available while the others wont save or just arent working for me. Its strange.
I will try to find some free synths for a more diverse sound but my issue right now is not knowing which websites to trust but Inwill try to find around it. I will check out that free hand synth to check it out
And my senheissers are pretty powerful and honestly I did a listen test between the file I have and the uploaded and I can tell the different and it does bother me uploading it while it aounds like this but what am I to do.

Mastering dance music on Sennheisers is kind of a bad idea. Sure they're amazing quality, no doubt, but Sennheisers are typically more geared toward orchestral music producing/composing I feel.
Same with my Shure 940's. They have some absolutely phenomenal sound, extremely crisp, but their bass response is a tad lacking, and the upper ends are a tad warm for my liking.
Nowadays I really just produce music on commercial speakers/earphones and such to literally hear the stuff exactly how my audience will.

I have noticed that and it bothers me so much. Sennheiser's have trouble with the higher register so when I hear one of my older songs on normal headphones, the cymbals and hats are just a bit too loud and it irritates me since I have sensitive ears.
And I am planning to get a new pair of headphones in the near future since my sennheisers are a little faulty and the warranty isn't a thing any more
And working on my songs with normal headphones is a huge peeve of mine. It makes me feel like I lack some control over all of the sounds, Its probably just me

I get what you mean lol.
It's a real shame we all aren't fully fortunate enough to use studio monitors in a properly acoustic-treated room so we can truly hear what we're making, the best alternative I've reasoned is really just consumer level equipment so you hear what your audience will hear. Worked for me for the most part so far, there are a few quibs I have because my gear is slightly different than the average consumer/audience member's set so I notice that my tracks are just so slightly funky.

you are lucky lol. I tried to do it recently and I got so OCD that I couldn't get myself to continue. I usually don't like the little subtle issues since the small subtle sounds are what I focus on most in my songs. that and I end up revising and listening to my songs like 4 times before posting or saying they are complete. If I heard the slight little knicks I would have to edit lol.
I would love an acoustic room so much. I would sell my family for it
