The spacecraft carrier and mobile base of operations for the Shadow Fox team.
Shadow Dragun
Manufacturer: Arspace Dynamics LTD
Model: CV-21
Class: Escort Spacecraft Carrier
Crew: Normally 2000, though automation has reduced it to needing only one person.
Length: 300 meters
Height: 60 meters
Width: 80 meters
Weight: 94,000 tons
Power System: Nuclear fusion reactor, 50 year fuel supply
Engines: 4x NTD FX 9 plasma engines, with 1,500,000 pounds of thrust each.

Endurance: Enough supplies to sustain the crew for two years.
Vehicle Capacity: Can accommodate 48 starfighters and 24 other combat vehicles in the hanger bay. Was originally more, although weapons and other modifications reduced overall capacity. Hanger bay is 300 meters long, 25 meters high, and 80 meters wide.
Shields: MDC-306 energy shields, Arc-35 mass shields
Sensors: 6x Fire control radars, 2x General purpose aviation radars, 1x T67 long range navigation radar,1x N44 short range navigation radar, 6x I-86 Infrared Search and Track arrays, 4x I-55 Passive infrared arrays, T-77 long range photo-optical sensor array, 2x AA-31 Long range tracking radars, 2x AA-25 Long range search radars, 3x Medium range passive radars/radar detectors, 3x each LF, HF, VHF and UHF long range radios, 2x Long range supra-light hyperwave transmitter/receivers, 2x Long range gravity field sensors
Armament:
1) Arspace Dynamics T/B H12 Heavy Plasma cannons (4x): These heavy cannons are mounted in armoured turrets, one in front of and one behind the bridge tower and can gut most starships with a single shot. 270 degree field of traverse and 90 degrees of elevation.
Bore: 21 in. Range: 90 kilometers. Rate of Fire: One shot every ten seconds. Capacity: Effectively unlimited, draws power from the main reactor.
2) Gyrazev Shipunov GsH-27-2 Close In Weapon System (CIWS) (8x): Built into armoured turrets, these automated 27mm double barrel plasma cannons provide an anti missile/anti aircraft defensive system. Each turret has its own pair of radars, linked to the ship’s main sensor array (and can operate independently, if needed) which identifies and tracks any incoming object. If it is a confirmed hostile target, the cannon will fire a one to two second burst at the target, which is more than sufficient to destroy incoming missiles. If the target is a starfighter or starfighter sized craft, the GsH-27-2 will continue firing at the target until it is destroyed or it flies out of range (The GsH-27-2 usually ignores targets greater than 45 meters in length). 360 degrees rate of traverse and 180 degrees of elevation.
Bore: 27mm. Range: 3 kilometers. Rate of Fire: 20 shots per second, per cannon. Each cannon can fire individually, although they are almost always fire linked for simultaneous fire. Capacity: Effectively unlimited, linked to the main power plant.
3) Arspace Dynamics C1 P6 Plasma Cannons (16x): These sixteen cannons are mounted two to a turret and are the Shadow Dragun’s primary ship to ship weapons. 360 degree rate of traverse and 180 degree elevation.
Bore: 14 in. Range: 40 kilometers. Rate of Fire: One double barrel shot per second. Capacity: Effectively unlimited, draws power from the main reactor.
4) 9M88 Kashtan Air Defense System (8x):
These eight turrets are built into the hull, towards the extreme bow and stern of the ship, near the anti-aircraft plasma cannons. Each turret is fitted with two quad missile launcher rails and a single AK-630 Gatling autocannon on each side. Mounted on a turret calibrated for tracking high speed targets, they can traverse 360 degrees and elevate 90 degrees and are rapid fire, heavy saturation weapons optimised for a high rate of fire and purpose built for work in turret mounts aboard capital starships. Standard ordinance is the R70 Python as these missiles are optimised for tracking and engaging enemy spacecraft such as strike fighters and small, fast ships such as torpedo boats. The missiles are normally carried in armoured compartments beneath the carrier's hull, and the launch rails stand empty. When going into combat, a pair retracting armoured blast doors slide back and automated loaders raise four missiles into their position on the rails, allowing both sides of the turret to be loaded in two seconds. Once the missiles are secured, the loaders retract into the hull and the blast doors close. When the last missile is fired, the launchers point directly upward and turn to align with the blast doors, needing only one second or so to do so. The doors slide open, four more missiles are loaded and the turret is ready to fire again.
For the cannons, Armour Piercing High Explosive rounds are standard, and with a rate of fire of 18,000 rounds per minute, the dual cannons can put down a murderous barrage of flying metal in seconds.
AK-630 Stats: Bore: 30mm. Range: 5 kilometers. Rate of Fire: 150 shots per second, per cannon. Each cannon can fire individually, although they are almost always fire linked for simultaneous fire. Capacity: 36,000 rounds per cannon, per turret.
R70 Python Stats: Maximum Range: 40 miles. Minimum Range: 1 mile. Fuse: Impact or proximity, 25 foot detection range. Guidance: Radar or Infrared, all aspect. Maneuverability: 70G. Capacity: 4 missiles ready to fire on the rails. The internal magazines for each launcher holds an additional 5 missiles per launch rail, per turret. (40 missiles per turret, 320 missiles total)
5) Nudelman Rihkter VLS-31 Missile cells: (x4): Built into the ship's hull on the aft third near the bridge on the top and ahead of the engine arrays on the bottom are these heavy missile launchers. Unlike the above turret mounted launchers which are optimised for tracking high speed, high agility targets, these weapons are designed to engage and destroy other capital ships as well orbital planetary bombardment. These weapons are built into the armoured hull of the carrier and are covered by retractable blast doors. Each cell holds 8 launch tubes, and each tube has a magazine of 5 missiles. When firing, the armoured blast doors slide open, the missiles fire, and as soon as they are clear the blast doors close again. Though just about any long range missile can be used, the R-34 heavy torpedo is the warhead of choice.
Maneuverability: 30G. Fuse: Proximity, 20 foot range. Blast radius: 40 feet. Guidance system: Active radar homing or infrared, all aspect capability. Range: 1,200 kilometers
Rate of fire: One at a time or in a salvo up to 8, per launcher. Capacity: 5 missiles per launch tube, for a total of 30 per battery (giving the ship a total of 120 missiles).
