Interesting project. As a rodent fine, I've always strongly disliked Micky's classic design. Mouse in name only.

THIS. I'm very picky about when I draw any animal to stay close to their anatomy, since designs like Mickey's lead more amateur artists to draw animals incorrectly, or for the general population to be unfamiliar with how the animal actually looks.

I add some stylization to my rodents, as I'm okay with certain cartoon aspects, but I don't like to go full-silly like with Warner Bros' or classic Disney. I prefer the Disney look where it's more illustrated, but not hyper-exaggerated. Mice are actually one of the most stylized creatures I draw, but it's imperative that they retain that rodent like petiteness and innocence. No buff douche bags in my rodent work, save that for the foxes.

I've seen much worse. Only real stabilization I see is the nose, ear fluff, and debatably the stomach (but they are ANTHRO, so they may not be so chubby).

I go for lardy if feral, skinny and dainty if anthro. For mice anyway. Anthro squirrels I draw to be more lean and fit. Rats, depends on the character.

This is the first thing I have ever liked that has the name Mickey Mouse. I love and adore all the other disney mice except for mickey and Minnie. It has to do with how they are drawn and the ears.

THEIR EARS LOOK THE SAME FROM EVERY ANGLE. WHAT MAGIC IS THIS. XD
