Pyrof0x's Zombie BBQ (FAU7 Commission)
Zombie Apocalypse. Resident Evil style.
Redundant, huh?
Never mind that--how are you going to deal with the shambling hordes? Well, if you're
pyrof0x, you've got supernatural control of fire and can just roast the rotting walkers into oblivion. Doing it from atop a wrecked bus makes it all the more cooler. This was my third Artist's Alley commission of this past Fur Affinity:United convention, and boy did I blow up the spot. This is the same character developed for Resident Leon, except now you know his actual assigned name.
This is one of those instances where you don't have any other commissions pending, and while waiting for the commissioner to pick up the piece, you pass the time by idly adding stuff until you realize "holy cow, this just got complicated". My seatmate (I want to say Lizardbeth, but I can't say for certain she was even at FA:U) was flabbergasted that I put that much detail into the pic at its price point, but the above is how it turned out the way it did. For posting, I spent a few hours going over it fixing up crooked lines, less-than-round curves, lines that are supposed to meet but didn't, and numerous assorted blobs of ink where the felt-tip pen stopped, started or changed direction--stuff you normally wouldn't notice till you scanned the art and blew it up to 800% original size.
Two more commissions to process (one of which is getting digital color).
Pencil on bristol, inked with felt-tip Copics, tweaked in Micrografx Picture Publisher 10. Standard 24MB scan.
