Since caffeine is the issue, tea would also be out of the question as it's heavily caffeinated.

However, it's only excess caffeine that's damaging. 1 or 2 cups worth a day isn't going to do much.

not if its Herbal tea it doesn't usually contain much caffeine if any, depending on the recipe of course.
