Finally!! After years of research, dedication, and patience, THE PICTURE FOR LUIGI IS DONE!! DONE, I TELL YOU--DONE~!! ^W^ And did it EVER turn out awesome...!! I might still go back and touch up a few areas, but aside from that--it's all done!! I was EXTREMELY happy with how this came out, and for once cold and warm colours don't seem to interfere with each other, and balance each other out to create a marvelous piece that I am proud to have been the artist of.
Jade is the seemingly sweet and, from what I've observed, the fashionable and cute Pikachu that most seem to fear, due to her constantly dressing up others in pink outfits all the time. =3 I chose to draw her with capris on, since I thought they'd look adorable for the scene selection, and wanted to try something that wouldn't look so plain on paper. The hair took FOREVER, but turned out soooo nicely~! I had a hard time finding the right tones, but finally decided on my Mandarin and Cream pencils. The two worked wonders together, and I even used a bit of Prismacolor Verithin pencils to enhance certain colours, like on Luiza's ears and eyes.
Luiza, at first, wasn't turning out so hot: I made her look bulky and seemingly "masculine," to put it that way... I did a lot to slim her down and give her a much more feminine figure, although the outfit she's wearing hindered my creative thoughts a bit. BUT, it's the primary outfit she wears, and since I wanted this to be fanart of Luigi's characters, I wanted it done -RIGHT-. I mean, I already love Jade, but I couldn't also make an exception for Luiza by changing her clothes too. It'd just take away from the originality that there already is in Luigi's art...
The picture was based on a photo taken of two of my good friends from back in high school. =3 The two were best friends--and still are, to my understanding, to this very day. Often times they'd pose together and have their pictures taken by another friend before they'd go bowling, to the movies, or for really long walks around the town. Really--our town's not that big... It'd take maybe... 4 hours to walk all around town...? Excluding the outlying homes and business shops...?
Done in Rose Art pencils and Prismacolor Verithin to touch it up a bit. ^^ Best anatomically correct picture yet!! ^w^
