The more I think about it, the more a furry tech-priest makes sense in-setting. His flesh has been corrupted. That is why he joined the priesthood. To remove as much of the corrupted flesh as possible. When all the flesh is gone and replaced by the machine, he will be pure. Praise to the Omnissiah!
