Images I drew for Skeleton Crew by Gre7g Luterman: http://gre7g.com/sc/
This novel is based on my short story “Ten Thousand Miles Up” (https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/146211)—a couple details were changed (lifespans and dress code, mainly) but I am totally on board with this. It does seriously help flesh out a setting, and I always need more of that.
The designs of the geroo (drawn by Kyoht http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14299173/) were not precisely how I’d originally envisioned them, but again, I like the direction it took. It’s different compared to how I normally do anthro designs.

Originally they were just my version of anthro kangaroos, but I was never happy with that, which is why I've not done any artwork for 10K Miles Up save for the cover--which I was also not satisfied with
Also I kinda feel like I owe it to Gre7g since he wrote a really cool story in my world and I ignored reading it for a long time. I feel bad about that.

In our multimedia store i saw a movie in the shelf with the name "20000 Miles up". it looked like one of those old classic sci-fi movies and i dont think it contains aliens that look like anthros. I didnt bought it tho. so i dont know exactly.
hmm, 10000 or 20000 miles... while it is enough to get in space and stay in a solid orbit, it's not enough for a geostationary orbit (22000 miles) and the moon is much much farther away (225000miles), for earth that is. I guess the planet of this story is a different one.
And yes i know, stories dont necesseraly follow scientific facts. This one is more or less a homage to Jules Vernes 20000 Miles under the Sea if i'm not mistaken? A wonderful, inspiring story, but earth is only ca. 7900 miles thick, so technically Nemo would have ended 12100 miles in space. hehehe :P
