i usually do not post stuff relating to my spirituality
in celebration of learning my familiar's name and the name of my two guides
i also made a point of cleansing and charging the small tanooki/racoons statue.

Oh, it's very interesting! Can I ask how you learned their name? I am very interested in this sort of spirituality myself, but I have a mindset that makes me avoid judgements in regards to what is in any way spiritual and what physical. I just try to experience phenomena without trying to assert their nature that I don't know if I would know.
I am very curious about how you managed to learn these names, if you want to share. I would try it myself in an attempt to maybe communicate with them. And a very nice altar otherwise! I think it looks very good. I wonder if you still maintain your spirituality after 9 years. And uhm... I tend to look at submissions of others and even comment on very old ones such as this one. I hope you don't mind.

Hi, I had forgotten I had even posted this.
This is actually the first ritual I ever conducted. Or at least the first attempt at a coordinated ritual. I am still very active within my faith. A lot of the information that I learned at around this time turned out not to be quite right for me . The time I got the names from a spirit board. I personally would not recommend doing that. I can't elaborate too much but the names that I now use were all garnered from meditation and or dreams. a lot of the tools in this picture are no longer in use. It's actually kind of interesting to look back on it. The altar cloth in this picture ended up tearing and I took the Celtic knot border and Decoupaged it to a claw foot table I found at the side of the road. So in a sense I still have it. About 6 years ago now I went through a really rough patch. I metaphorically died and was reborn. I had to move out of my home state. I was in a lot of debt at the time. I paid it all off and now I have a small house and a decent sized chunk of property to call my own .The interesting thing is I found a group to practice with here. My backyard is essentially a meadow there are three trees that stand in a cluster, in that circle of trees I set up a permanent outdoor altar. So yeah, thank you for bringing this post up. It's amazing to see how far I've come
