Love it! I like to draw my sketches out with pencil first too. But my lines are always crappy. I usually ink over them as well as I can (usually still poorly) in PS.
Great colors, and I like the effect. This is also just a super adorable icon.
How do get your lines separate so you can color -under- them? I think I remember seeing a tutorial someone else did a long time back, but it seemed complicated.

I truly do think you're doing an awesome job with this effect. You get the bold smooth colors of a digital work with the very solid feel and texture of a real-life drawing. I hope you'll do more!! :D
