Hehe there's no fountain in the temple that I know of! It's just part of the collection of pieces I title 'The Fountain,' I don't really know why, it sounded semi-fantasy-ish!
Although I suppose in my imagination the Fountain would be something kind of intricately carved and of mythological significance, so the music would portray it in a more mystical manner rather than focusing on the aspect that it spews out water. Kind of like, I dunno the music when you see the Ring in LoTR.

This is game music? Man, do I need to get with it. (The last game I saw was the very first iteration of Zelda, if that tells you anything.*) This is very sophisticated and film-score-ish. It sounds like some place which used to be magical but has now fallen into ruin, with an archaeologist trying to slowly unearth its mysteries. That very last tubular chime got me in a good way.
* - Okay, that's not entirely accurate. I did play Guitar Hero a few months ago, because "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight" by Spinal Tap was on the playlist. I absolutely couldn't resist.

Hehehe ^^
Well it's not technically game music but I could list it as that or classical, I didn't really think it exactly fit either so I just went with game music because that's the closer I think to film score type music. But I like the imagery you mention, thanks for sharing!

The steps where colossal. What from a distance seem to be a forested mountain was in fact the stairway to a cyclopean temple covered by eons of wind blown dust and dirt that over time, grew lush with trees that toward high into the misty morning sky. pieces of ancient statuary rose nearly to the tree tops, depicting long forgotten gods or kings. we climbed and hiked toward the top, toward the newly uncovered pinnacle of this ancient testament to a lost empire. The recent heavy wind and rains washing away the deposits of centuries and the trees that grew therein, had also filled a large hollow in the structure creating a lake which poured down the sides uncovering more pieces of the unknown history, and cascading over cliff sides like some fountain of the gods. we do not know what wonders or horrors await us at the pinnacle, let alone what is waiting for us inside. we climb toward our fate whatever it may be.
