I've been playing a bit of StarBound recently and have kind of fallen in love with my character, a hylotl I've affectionately named Mira. For those who have never played the game, hylotl are an amphibious, Asian like race originating from a water planet. Unfortunately, their home world was invaded by a race of aggressive, carnivores, plant creatures called Florans. Forced off of their home, the hylotl sent out thousands of explorers to look for planets on which to build a new home.

As a child, Mira always loved the stories of the wandering warriors, and spent her time training in the arts of combat and survival. When she was forced to flee her home world, Mira jumped at the chance to join the search for a new home. Given a ship, supplies, and armed with her families sword, the young hylotl set out amongst the stars to find her own path.
