I was thinking something heavier - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G889ciLwz_M
I have not said that there is no such thing as rave music. I just said what is classed as rave music today is usually house, techno and trance. And I've always found your music to be on the trance end of the scale. Even then, it is not something I personally would dance to. When trance is concerned, I find anything but prof trance too boring or tame.
Music evolves. What you linked may have been the preferred sort of tunes is the 90s but not today. But then, house and hardstyle didn't exist and techno, trance and industrial were very different. So what applied then doesn't necessarily apply.
In any case, what you linked isn't really the style I've ever heard in the raves I've been to.

can't get any harder than this, sorry

to me everything else then has no melody anymore. And I already told this to DJ Kicken ("Nasty Creep") who wanted to make a song with me.

Tastes and preferences differ. I have listened and danced to much harder stuff and found them melodic enough. Hell, I enjoy even the stuff that is not generally dance music, but is still harder (like Aggrotech). The only genres I can't find melodic is speedcore (with exceptions) and gabber.
What you linked has a good start but drags on and becomes rather samey pretty quickly (a problem I have with a lot of Trance (with the exception of prog trance), Noise and old-school Industrial/EBM tracks). If you DJed with people playing this stuff and the crowd liked it, fair do. But I wouldn't be able to do any more than shuffling to this and the crowds in the raves and clubs I've been to would get bored of it fairly quickly if it did not build up towards something.
