I hate these people too. Its okay to have an explanation for one or two little quirks that people might interpret as being wrong or whatever, but if one is just no good then there's no explaining their way out of it :[

Aaahahah, I had a few classes with people rather like this as well. Even worse, the professor was a very soft spoken and timid southern gentleman, so a pal-o-mine and I took it upon ourselves to find horrible unforgivable faults in every piece, and demand that the next one show improvement in that particular area.

In my college drawing classes I kind of preffer to take the "my art should do the speaking" approach and sit quietly. If I have to get a correction I will and otherwise I am either doing ok or someone's screwing me up by ignoring me D:

Though, amusingly, I've met at least one person who was the exact opposite. If it wasn't highly realistically drawn, then in his opinion, it was because you were too lazy or untalented to be able to.
