The first mascot of the first fast-food restaurant that I remember, there's a standalone A&W restaurant that I used to visit during my childhood, unfortunately it will be demolished for upgrade soon...I should visit other A&W restaurants more if I can find them...

Here in the Untidy States, A&W used to be all over California, particularly on the highways in the more rural parts of the states. When I was traveling around as a kid in the '70s, A&W was THE Road Trip stop.
These days, you'll usually find them sharing a building with a KFC. For a while, the same company owned both chains.
They still make their root beer in store, and it is AMAZING.
This is a great version of a great mascot.
