Whew, this took some time to finish. Basically I just wanted to experiment on clothing textures and how to make them seem sort of 3d-ish. This was meant to be a quick practise pic, but I decided to work on it a bit more. The lineart was randomly chosen as I only wanted to play with the fabric.
The red panda guy has possibly the ugliest tail I've ever seen! =D
...But I like the colours somehow. So loud and shiny. I found the patterns for the clothes by random google image searches. I recoloured and tweaked them quite a bit, though.

Designing clothing IS fun. :) I think you did a fantastic job here -- he's one of the more militant red pandas I've seen here on FA, a nice change. I also rather like how you've coloured the Siamese(?) girl's face, she looks coy and demure but also as if she's hiding something... Good job on everything, just everything. Your Photoshop skills are really improving! :)

Seriously speaking, I really hope I will get the hang of things bit by bit. I just have to practise some actual Photoshop painting techniques. Whew, it sounds so fancy I'm scaring myself. o_O

Hmm... Photoshop painting, eh? I'm just getting the hang of that myself. Would you be interested in a Photoshop tutorial?
