So, while my Chaos forces are probably my favorite to customize, my dark eldar are probably my favorite to paint and play. Here's a personal favorite: my parasite engine.

It's true. It's easy to get flustered though, when the fast attack options come in from wherever the hell they please and doesn't help my HQ was/is Grotsnik so he applies the whole 'must charge nearest enemy unit' thing or otherwise get there as fast as possible. If i can get lucky and the nobz get their klaws doing something i probably win, otherwise it's just poison and reaver city, then tears. Win rates sitting on about 40/60 his way.

I love heavy contrast x3 My dark eldar are MOSTLY red, with bronze incubi, white on all capes, and white on all monsters and venoms, with black raiders/ravagers :3
I don't much like painting white though. It's such a pain in the ass, and it doesn't always look good to reflect the effort :I

They react better to light colors. They're nearly invisible on whites and good yellows, because the way the light catches the decal is the same way it catches the rest of the plastic. Otherwise, you can keep applying water to it and smoothing it out (after cutting pretty close to the decal itself), and then hitting it with a clear coat. In most cases, that'll cut the shimmer down. However, looking at your necrons, I'd say to actually put the decals on a little earlier, since it looks like you're going for a sort of tarnished look,. Apply your "clean coats", then the decals, then put on your washes, pigments, and technicals.
