That's how the original animation was when they both asked to have their 'sonas put into place.
Also, I think it looks fine. Some people prefer round sphere guts, some prefer skin tight mega stetchy prey-shaped bellies, some prefer even hammerspace stomachs that don't expand at all, it's all a matter of preferance.
