hmmm, not exactly fool-proof tips but:
Try having Freddy be larger, and even be behind (in terms of overlap) Big Bad, that way it'll be more intense, and if you want to really emphasize a whole "bearing down on you" feel, make cougar have a larger presence, which can be done by drawing less of Big Bad and pulling him closer to the camera for a "Close up" effect.
but what do I know?

depending on how you have the camera behind Freddy can alter the effect. It would be best to distinguish the context or atmosphere of the conflict, if the battle is two sided (i.e. normal fights) than there would be no problem with showing Freddy, however if it was supposed to be a horror type meeting (i.e. scary monster attack) than minimal detail should be used because you still want to build up an air of mystery and impact with the audience, and that feeling can change depending on whether you show freddy or not. because putting the camera behind him puts him on equal footing with the audience and lets them get into his mind and sometimes even minimizes an air of mystery and sometimes even dilutes the threat levels of Freddy.
I forgot what I was really saying and not sure if I really mean this

For being doodled in class, that looks freakin' awesome.
Personally, I dun think Freddy looks all that threatening. It looks like Big Bad already sees him. Because Freddy's a rather wimpishly built bad guy, what makes him menacing is that he tries sneaking up on victims. The air of suspense is gained when the good guy is unaware of what the audience notices.
