A story for my friend
sournote103! =D
Rerim is studying for his classes, but when he gets a knock on his front door he doesn't realize that the knocker has special motives.
I hope you all enjoy, and I would love to hear what you all think! ^_^

Writing up notes from his notebook, Rerim sighed as he looked up at the clock. He had been writing the notes for two hours by this point, and it was getting obnoxious as he looked at how many more pages he had to write. His professor had apparently gone insane as he had assigned fifteen pages of notes on his desk the day after his first class, and it was headache inducing how many pages he had done, and how much he still had to go. “Eight pages done…” he muttered, flipping the book closed so he could rub his eyes from the swimming letters.
Tempted to watch some television, Rerim stood up and stretched out as he walked over to his TV and flicked it on. He had to get those notes done, but if he continued just doing notes he was going to pass out from sheer boredom of the subject. As he sat down on his bed to watch some shows a knock on the door made him glance over. “Excuse me~” a voice called through the door, sounding awfully awake for being eight at night.
Frowning Rerim tried to ignore the knocking, but they knocked once more, and he started to notice that the knocking was awfully odd sounding. “Please go away, I’m trying to study,” he called back, but the people outside didn’t want to hear it apparently.
“Come on! It won’t take too long~” they shouted through his door, and though Rerim was certain that someone would tell them to shut up nobody seemed to notice.
Realizing that unless he listened to them they would continue knocking until the sun rose, and that wasn’t something Rerim wanted when he was trying to get work done. “Fine...” he grumbled, and standing up he walked over to the door and opened it to find himself seeing nothing. “Did they ditch?” he asked, about to close the door he stopped as he felt something tug at his pants leg. “Huh?”
Looking down, Rerim froze as he saw what appeared to be a small plush animal in army clothing that came up to his waist. “Hi!” the small plush creature said, grinning up at the human. “I wanted to ask you if you wanted to join my plush army,” he said, smiling up at Rerim.
For a moment Rerim felt dizzy as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing until he carefully bent down to look at the creature. “I… you… Oh… you must be a little robot…” he said, picking up the plushie by his chest. “I’ll admit, I was fooled for a second…”
“I’m not a toy! I’m Trask the plush fox,” the plushie said, grinning at Rerim. “I want you to help aid me in my fight against sadness and boredom!” he announced, patting Rerim’s hand.
Rerim was growing tired of this joke fast, and set down the plushie on the ground outside of his door. “Alright guys, you can cut the joke out. I have to do my homework,” he said, and started to close the door before Trask shouted out.
“Please wait!” From the shout it sounded as if the fox was about to cry, and Rerim couldn’t deny that the thought was saddening in its own right. He stopped before opening the door back up and looking down to see Trask looking up at him. “Please, I’ve chosen you to join my army!” he squeaked, he fumbled out a toy gun from his belt that he must’ve been using to knock on the door as it has some scrapes on the barrel.
Sighing and rolling his eyes, Rerim folded his arms. “Alright, I’m done with the joke. Bye guys,” he said, and as he was about to close the door Trask shot his pants with the liquid out of his gone. “Oh come on…” he groaned, bending down to wipe away the stain he blinked as he saw his blue jeans started taking on a green hue. “W… what is this?” he asked, trying to wipe away the juice he blinked in shock as the skin on his hand that touched the juice started to turn into white fabric. “What did you do?!” he shouted, trying to shake off the fur but it was useless as the white fabric spread across his hands making his fingers disappear as his hand became one large white paw with black markings that appeared to be like a pawpad.
“Like I said silly, you’ve been conscripted,” Trask said, saluting to Rerim as the fabric spread like wildfire. His clothes quickly became green army slacks that started to expand as Rerim found his body starting to grow outwards as pink and white fabric spread across his body. “As plushies it’s our duty to make everyone much more happy as they join our army!” the fox piped, grinning as Rerim found his mind becoming less and less focused on college work, and more and more on being a peppy army plushie.
Finding that his clothes had vanished, Rerim looked at his feet as they expanded into large white feet with stiches all around them. “C… can I change back… please?” he asked, trying to resist the impulse to smile widely at his commanding… at the plush fox. An odd sensation rushed through Rerim on his stomach, so noticing that his shirt had become a button up he unbuttoned it to reveal that sliding up his stomach was a long zipper separating the two halves of his large white tummy. Around the transforming human’s neck, a big pink studded collar slipped on, and Rerim started feeling satisfied as he felt himself slipping into his “proper attire”.
“No sirree, recruit Rerim. You are one of our new plushies starting today! I am your general,” Trask explained, pointing to the star on his helmet. “Now button up that shirt, and give me a nice salute!” the plush said, smiling as Rerim found himself completely happy to comply as his face slid out into a plush one with a big grin and his now plush tongue hanging out of his mouth.
“Don’t salute… don’t salute…” Rerim told himself, but as his eyes became spirals as all stress about college disappeared as Private Rerim saluted his commanding officer. “Private Rerim Bear reporting in for duty, General Trask!” Rerim stated, grinning happily as he felt a pistol with fabric softener slide into his belt line.
“Very good! Now private, come along so we can start accepting more new recruits,” Trask said, and they both started walking down the hall in search of their next new recruit.
