Not sure if I should submit this to FACCC, since it's nothing relatively special or made from scratch. Cake waffles are incredibly easy to make.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
-1 box of cake mix, any cake mix works but I lean towards light cakes such as yellow cake or white cake. Also make sure to get all needed ingredients for it too.
-1 waffle iron. Kinda important.
-Cooking spray
-optional: frosting, whipped cream, fruit
STEP 1:
Start by heating up you waffle iron and spraying it with the cooking spray.
STEP 2:
Mix up your cake batter. When Iron is preheated, pour batter into it and cook for 6 minutes. The first time I made these, I thought that cake mix wouldn't work well with being turned into waffles, but to my surprise, cake mix actually makes them just as well, if not better.
STEP 3:
Remove from iron. Top with syrup, fruit, frosting, and/or whipped cream.

Well I might not be the only one who has never experienced waffles in any form so put it to the faccc but write in that you can use cake mix or an equal amount of home made mix if desired. also how much of the mix do you pour in at one time as I've never seen a waffle iron, do you put 1/2 a cup of mix, 1 cup? *hugs*
Well the thing is I'm actually really bad at batter distribution when it comes to waffles that that's why I didn't include an amount. I either add too little and have these weird half-waffles, or add too much and have the batter leak out the side of the iron. The waffles in this picture for example were a second batch after making the weird half-waffles, that I had to cut excess batter off of the sides.
Yes, it is dumb at this point that I've never bothered to measure. But if I were to give my best estimation, I'd say a half cup of batter for each waffle. This also largely depends on what kind of waffle iron you have, big, small, square, circle, etc. Trial by error has always been my protocol. Hope that helps at all.
