Seperating the tracks would make it illegal. The point of mixing is to keep it in one long track. Being a Dj isn't just to mix them together, but to make sure they all got the same bpm, keeping the same mood and theme throughout the mix, etc. It takes a lot of time if you want it to be perfect. One wrong track and you could "drop" the mix on the ground.
