Here is the second of two 'fan art' pieces I'd rendered for Jim Groat (a.k.a. Rabbi-Tom), in the form of a handmade greeting card for his birthday (back in the early 1990s).

Once again, I'm presenting a parody of his comic book character 'Red Shetland' (an equine version of "Red Sonja") as drawn by yet another cartoonist - in this case, Matt Groening. But instead of doing a knock-off of "The Simpsons", my parody is of Groening's original comic strip "Life in Hell". Groat told me that he loved the way I'd drawn the foreground silhouette of 'Red'...

I was hoping to find the time to render additional versions of 'Red Shetland' as drawn by Dr. Seuss and Don Martin (of "MAD" Magazine), among other cartoonists, but events in my personal life forced me to postpone such parodies. I might still find the time to do it these days, so be on the lookout for them...
