Keep on keeping on. Eventually I'll get a really good shot along these lines.

I managed to work that shot into a three-shot pano recently, this new software is the bomb!

Fun stuff! I'm hoping to get a few pano's built up from my recent Death Valley trip. Those are going to be interesting to stitch together...
I liek this one, though, for it's brilliant colour and the simplicity of line. Your eye moves around the scene, lighting on the mist coming off the water, the ripple (do I detect a 'stitch line" there?) and keeps coming back to the birds.
And it's just simply pretty. There is nothing wrong in this world with doing pretty.

Good old "Pretty!" will do just fine. I can do pretty! The thing is atmosphere, color, tone, and you will (almost) never get that except for right at dawn for a number of reasons. First, FOG!!! Second, the air itself is clearest, clean of dust me friend tells me, and then of course there's the dawn light. Unbeatable combination and this shot would look very ordinary without it. Taken at 6:35 am and time on first shot of that session tells me I was out at 5:45.
A very easy to use and capable stitching prog is Arcsoft's Panorama Maker. Nothing good that's free soooo, you will have to rip something off!

Woohoo! I sleep maybe six to seven hours a night, usually, so I do occasionally manage to get up early. Did it last weekend at Death Valley- got some pretty sunrise and moon-over the mountain pics. Dunno how their quality is, yet, I'm starting to fiddle with the settings on Kani's camera, so I've buggered a few things while learning what they do. :P
Can't wait to see what your eye will pick out this summer!
