It sort of is, the creator confirmed that the robots are haunted. Five kids were murdered by someone impersonating Freddy, and it's implied that the bodies were hidden inside the robots, and they're out to get you because the guy who killed them was a security guard.

Yeah I realized that from the posters/new articles you can find around the game. I moreso meant the whole 'crying out for help' thing. :3

Ah, well, that actually would be an interesting idea.

Truth be told, I've been considering writing fanfiction about what they're like during the time when they're neither performing onstage nor scaring/killing the security guard.

I mean, the way I see them, they're kids who've been dead for a long time, but they're still kids. How do they deal with the fact that they're no longer human, and are never going to become adults? How do they pass the time?

And since they've killed enough security guards for the previous one to know exactly what happens if they catch you, do they think it's always the same guy coming back, or does lack of experience with the outside world lead them to think that all security guards are like that?

According to the lore, the imposter wore both a security guard uniform and the Golden Freddy costume...

So it could be that they're terrified of any security guard they see, and not knowing their own strength, stuff any they find into the spare animatronic suit so the guard can have a taste of what they think he did to them.

I never thought I'd feel sorry for any of them. This is way too heavy in an amazing sorta way.

If it were possible... Id come in as a technician, but have the mindset that they do have a mental understanding and are possible just as scared as everyone else is of them.

Treat them right and probably show a little affection, what's to say that they would be alright?
