A friend invited her there and for once, she was glad she'd had enough energy to leave her work and her home. She rarely gets out anymore due to working at the club and doing manager things constantly. There was also the deep tiredness that seemed to sink into her bones from long hours at her computer. Still, this was a nice change.

The air was different here, not so much spiritual as peaceful. From the beautiful beach to the pale sandstone structures, the cougar felt a slight easing in her tensed shoulders. The sun was bright, but without heat. Perhaps because of the cool breeze that ruffled the cougar's clothes and fur. Just coming around the bend, there was a stair hugged by two high and minimally-ornate walls.

The cougar paused for a moment, feeling the slight heat from the sun on her face, staring up the steps into the blue sky that graced the distant arches overhead.She imagined a cooler temperature there, but had no fear of cold since the balance between the sun and air was perfect. She had a feeling that what lay at the top of the stair would be worth it, especially since a peaceful calm was already beginning to wash over her.

With the sound of her own body moving through this world and the near ethereal echoing of the sound off walls, she begins to climb.
