this was an anonymous prompt on ideadex.tumblr not really sure of a name, but i have an idea of origin/trivia.

based on old passkeys, which later came to be known as skeleton keys. it has a tendency to curse lock tumblers, making it so only it may unlock them. other keys, even the original keys, will invariably break, even if it was only slightly turned. after the broken ends are tossed away ____ will take them, adding them to their collection.

i am so fucking happy with this. =D it was so much fun to color and the fact that it came out LEAGUES better than i anticipated makes me even more proud than i usually am of my art. ^w^
