Vym Umlaut is a professional thief, professional swindler, and a professional pain in the ass. He’s known for, during dungeon forays, stealing everything that isn’t nailed down –sometimes prying things up if they are- and selling them on whatever market will buy them. He’s well known to the Auction House marketeers, Camelot’s Street Vendors, the Black Marketeers, and even the elusive Gold Train. If you need to make something disappear, he’s the man to go to.
At the same time, if you need something, anything, he’s the bloke to ask. A new sword? Easy. Heavy plate armour with impressive enchantments? Piece of piss. The skull of a long-dead king ‘procured’ under a full moon and filled with the souls of his enemies? While complicated, and requiring a little haggling, he can get it.
That skull looks fantastic on his mantle.
He handles the funds for the Clan, and was hired on after the Dragon of Camelot incident in which he assisted the WorldPatch Clan. He took one look at the Clan’s funds and how they were handled and managed to rework their whole system to not only create a very healthy income, but he manages to skim off the top for himself with no severe –or noticeable- losses to the Clan.
In combat he excels with throwing knives or near hand-to-hand dagger fights. Don’t let his seemingly disarmed looks fool you, he has knives and blades hidden away where even the most vigorous search can’t find them.
He doesn’t tend to talk to anyone else, though he does tutor new Clan members in the finer points of handling their currency.
Just… keep an eye on your everything when he’s nearby.
