So, this page features some jewelry directly inspired by jewelry and ceramics from 1920-1930. In particular, Melissa’s necklace is inspired by the work of Jean Despres circa 1925. There’s also some Etienne Cournault on the page, but you really can’t see it.

I’ve always neglected to mention it, but Melissa’s alarm clock (which you can see in more detail on the last page of Issue 4) is directly taken from a 1933 clock design by Karl Emanuel Martin Weber.
