This was our evening meal last night and it was so sweet and delicious. I should have put this on a long white plate it would have looked better but hunger won and this was the only one left that I could get a photo of the finished dish before being devoured.(ps: sorry if I have spelt some things wrong I'm posting this quite late)
Teriyaki Salmon Steaks
Take steaks and marinate in enough Terriyaki sauce to cover with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for an hour. Thread three to skewer and put into a fry pan or on the grill on medium heat for about 3-5 minutes each side, depending on the thickness of the steaks.
Pictures
Top Left - Steaks raw on baking paper ready to cook
Bottom Left The cooked steaks
Top Right - Close of up of the finished salmon steaks
Bottom Right - on the plate with Maple Syrup Seasoned Mixed Vegetables
Maple Syrup Seasoned Mixed Vegetables
In a bowl place 1 cup of mixed veg (Peas, Carrot and Corn in this case)
Sprinkle with salt and pepper or mixed herbs of your choice
Drizzle with a tablespoon of maple syrup
To cook {1}- put the bowl in a steamer for about ten minutes until veg is hot and soft
or
{2} put in the microwave for three minutes on high (900w microwave used here) adjust the times according to your microwave
Serve veg using a slotted spoon with an extra sprinkle of herbs or salt and pepper, if there is any liquid can left from the veg some of it can be drizzled over the steaks and/or veg.
Optional Serving over cooked rice mixed with the Maple Syrup Veg is optional but very nice and tasty. I just didn't have any rice available at the time.
