First Art Work of Year 12
Our summer task was to paint an object which both has interesting form though also has some significance. We had to incorporate text in it to do with the object.
I chose this small replica of a willow carving called 'Soar' as it is a beautiful piece of miniature sculpture and both simple and delicate in it's shape and form. It's significance is that it was given to me on 15th September 2013 which is both my brother's Birthday and the day of his and my Baptism and Confirmation. It was also given to me by close family friends whom I love very much and they have been a huge part of my life since I was born - I literally love them like family. So you can see why I chose it.
As for this artwork, as I said it's for school and I'm starting my A Levels after getting an A* in Art GCSE :3 This piece could be improved alot but I felt adding more detail may ruin the idea of the object being simple.
